The Rundown: Psylocke goes looking for more missing kids and needs the help of a familiar face to do it.
After rescuing a group of mutant children from an AIM auction, Kwannon is determined to find the others and will utilize Devon’s help to discover where they are. As he looks through the information, he discovers that the person who initially tipped them off is Shinobi Shaw.
After making a trip to see Shaw and confronting him with what she knows, she forces him to join her on the mission to discover the location of the other kids. A location that will show her mutant children being pitted against each other for the entertainment of others. An act that will unleash the dangerous side of Psylocke.
The Story: Wong beautifully weaves together great moments throughout this issue. I love the international spy elements of the story as well as exploring Kwannon’s personal demons. The tension with Shaw is great and I loved the action a lot. There are some great character moments throughout the story and the final cliffhanger makes me excited to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Carratu delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are vibrant and the action is thrilling in its imagery.
